A winner of both the USA and World Championships in the event of a hurdle, Lolo Jones has reached her current standing after plenty of effort and enormous amount of perseverance. Jones was born to a motherless family with five children who were stricken by poverty and hardship as a youngster, experienced an incredibly difficult childhood. She lived with her mother in the basement of a church, and was always moving around. Jones had to be moved into a new school each during her time in high school due to this sporadic lifestyle. Jones was able to move away from her mother to Theodore Roosevelt to enable her to pursue her interest in track. She was a member of four families during her time in high school in order study all in the same place. Jones was awarded her the Gatorade Iowa Track & Field Athlete of the Year Award during her time at school. She also was involved in the school orchestra as cellist. Since her college days, Jones proved to be one of the best hurdlers. In the 2002 NCAA Track & Field Championship, she won in the 100m hurdles. Jones also was a part of the second-placed team in the 100-meter Relay event. Jones has been the NCAA champion in indoor hurdles in both 2003 and 2014. Jones began her track and field career in 2005 when she graduated from university. She won both in the Torino Memorial and the Heusden Track events in the same year.
The family was raised and born in Cape Town South Africa Brandt moved with her family to Auckland New Zealand in her late teens. The talent of Brandt was recognized in Auckland by the local cast director Brandt. Brandt was cast as a part of Naevia in her role on the Starz series Spartacus Blood and Sand and Spartacus Gods of the Arena. Her character was popular among the public and production team members Steven S. D Knight, Sam Raimi and Sam Raimi. She was a part of the cult Netflix show Lucifer that had a six years run as the fan favorite Vertigo/DC comic book character Mazikeen. Forbes has ranked Lucifer the show with the highest amount of binge-watching in 2021. Brandt's next appearance will be in a six-episode Walking Dead spin-off in 2024 alongside Andrew Lincoln and Danai Gurrira. She will also be starring alongside Jason Ritter Anthony Carrigan and Chris Meloni in the adult animated series Captain Fall which airs July 2023 on Netflix. Lesley-Ann Brandt is an South African actress who was born in Cape town on 2nd of December, 1981. She is quite a talented New Zealand actress. Lesley Brandt moved with her entire family of New Zealand to Auckland in 1999. In Auckland she started her career as a salesperson, and then be promoted to the position of IT manager consultant. Lesley began modeling, and then began to appear in commercials. She completed her acting major in 2008 and continued to study the methods of Meisner. Her first major acting job was in the TV drama arrangement Diplomatic Immunity in New Zealand. Lesley Brandt was a guest supporting actress on New Zealand's television show Shortland Street. Her next appearance was in This Is Not My Life. The show is based on the real tale of Waimoana. Lesley Brandt starred in the TV series Spartacus: Blood and Sand in the role of Naevia as a hostage. She was later seen in the Spartacus: Gods of the Arena Miniseries.
