Samantha Mohr
Mohr was a UGA student and entered her first pageant, after having been offered by a friend. She won Miss Columbus 1985. This win made her eligible for to compete in the Miss Georgia pageant in June 1985. Mohr took home the title on the 22nd of June, 1985. The winner earned more than $3,500 in scholarship funds and various prizes from the state pageant. Mohr was Miss Georgia and was a public figure across Georgia in the course of her obligations. Mohr the Georgia representative attended Miss America 1986, Atlantic City, New Jersey in September of 1985. Mohr stood a chance of 22 to 1 to win the Miss America title. Computer models proved reliable in predicting Susan Akin's victory. Mohr wasn't a Top-10 finalist in the race for the nation's crown. Mohr was Miss Georgia for a total of ten years, until Marlesa Bal, who was her successor in the title was elected Miss Georgia 1986, on June 28th on June 28, 1986.
